A guide on how to measure a straight flight of stairs
- Measure the height of the face (front of the step) 19cm
- Measure the tread (top of the step) 24cm Add these two sizes together 19 + 24 = 43cm
- Count how many steps 11
- Multiply the number of steps by the total size of the face and tread 43 x 11 = 473cm
- This will give you a rough idea of length required
- Always allow extra for cutting and installation
- Measure the total width of the step 80cm
- Take around 15-20cm from this to find ideal width for your stair runner 80 - 15/20cm = 65/70cm
